Organizational Training (Option B) — You & AI

AI training that changes what Friday looks like.

Most organizational AI training fails — too theoretical (a keynote about what an LLM is) or too narrow (a recipe for one kind of email). Either way, Friday looks exactly like Monday. You & AI is built differently: live cohorts taught on your team's real work, turning individual know-how into shared systems that let a lean team operate like one twice its size.

We teach ideas that matter

We teach practical application. Not what dazzles in a demo but what you will actually apply day in and day out to your work.

We build conceptual understanding. If you grasp the why, then you can deploy the how more flexibly & confidently.

The same work, with the friction removed

Development

A donor list becomes a full set of differentiated, on-brand renewal drafts in an afternoon — and the time saved goes to the calls that actually close gifts.

Grants & reporting

A funder report that used to eat a full day of synthesis becomes a first draft assembled from your own data, ready for editing and judgment.

Partnerships

Staff walk into external meetings with a briefing that pulls the full relationship history, the right numbers, and what's changed since the last conversation.

Leadership

Custom daily briefings surface key program data, upcoming deadlines, and external meetings — and recurring reports refresh on a set cadence for review.

None of this replaces the judgment, storytelling, and relationships your work depends on. It removes the friction around them — so each piece of work makes the next one easier, sharper, and more consistent.

A phased arc, from fluency to infrastructure

Everyone starts with Foundations — one phase is the whole commitment out of the gate. But organizations tell us it matters to see where the path leads, so here is the full arc. Each phase builds on the last, and each stands on its own, with concrete capability your team keeps.

Foundations Where everyone starts

Core fluency for everyone: six skillbuilding sessions that reframe AI as a working partner.

Sessions: writing & thinking partner · memory, privacy & user instructions · connectors & Deep Research · projects for recurring work · AI-powered analysis in spreadsheets · building your first Skills. Tool-flexible — taught on Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini.

Skills & Surfaces

Capability inside the tools your team already uses, so AI shows up where the work happens.

Sessions: Claude in Chrome · Claude in Excel · building reusable Skills · Claude in PowerPoint · visualization & dashboards. Requires Foundations. Draws on capabilities only Claude fully offers today.

Augmentation & Automation

Infrastructure that works asynchronously: reports that refresh themselves, briefings that arrive before the meeting.

Covers: document systems & learning loops · scheduled tasks & agents · workflows that update dynamically. Scoped collaboratively after Phases 1–2.

How it's delivered

90 minlive sessions, on Zoom
1–2 wksbetween touchpoints
7–14 wksper phase, by engagement model

Who it reaches

A live cohort — typically your leadership team and AI champions — completes the full program, while an asynchronous version of the same curriculum extends a shared foundation to the rest of your staff.

The organization moves together, not in pockets.

We teach so it sticks

See it

Every concept is worked through live, on real examples. Everyone gets the recording.

Try it

You apply what you learned to your work, ~30 minutes outside class.

Get feedback

You email your work to your instructor, who reviews it and adds notes where helpful.

Build on it

The next class opens with a discussion of examples & questions from the submissions.

Two ways to run the engagement

Charter Engagement

Expert-led skillbuilding

Best for teams with the internal capacity to metabolize the training on their own.

  • Full skillbuilding curriculum, tailored to your use cases
  • Onboarding & debrief advisory sessions with leadership
  • Pre- & post-surveys, Slack Q&A channel, recording access for 3 months after the engagement

Navigator Partnership

An implementation partner alongside the training

Best for teams that want guided adoption across the full program arc.

  • Everything in Charter, plus a weekly touchpoint — skillbuilding, advisory, or office hours — across 14 weeks per phase
  • Leadership advisory sessions around key moments — tool setup, workflow priorities, measurement
  • Office hours where participants bring real work and apply each session's topic to it

Investment: every program is scoped in a short proposal after an initial conversation — group size, phases, and how far you want the async rollout to reach all shape the number.

Ways to go deeper

For teams that have completed Foundations — both build on the shared base your cohort develops there.

Skills Hackathon

A half-day working session where your team turns its own recurring work into reusable AI Skills — built, tested, and distributed before everyone leaves the room.

Half day · up to 20 people

1:1 coaching

Five 45-minute sessions for individuals who want help applying AI to their specific work — deepening what the cohort built together.

Not ready for an org-wide program?

Start with an open class.

Almost every organizational partnership we've run started the same way: one or two people took a public You & AI course, saw what it could do for their work, and brought it back to their team. Send a curious colleague — or come yourself.

Before you write

Do we have to use a specific AI tool?

Foundations can be taught on Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini — whatever your organization has chosen or is leaning toward. Later phases draw on capabilities that today only Claude fully offers, and we'll flag that timeline with you up front. We no longer teach Copilot courses: its capabilities consistently lag the frontier tools this curriculum depends on, so we can't recommend building organizational fluency on it.

Do participants need paid AI accounts?

Yes. The single biggest level-up in AI is paying for it — free accounts use weaker models and lack the features the curriculum is built on. Getting accounts sorted is one of the first things we help leadership work through.

What's the minimum group size?

Cohorts are designed for about 10 participants, with room to add more. Smaller teams or individuals are often better served by our open cohorts.

How long does an engagement take?

Each phase runs 7–14 weeks, depending on cadence and engagement model. Organizations start with Foundations and decide on later phases once they've seen what sticks; the async rollout can run in parallel or in stages.

How do you handle sensitive data — donor records, student information?

Carefully, and it's covered before anything else. Session two of Foundations is devoted to memory, privacy, and data controls: what the tools retain, how to turn model training off, and what should never go into a chat. Your data stays in your organization's own accounts (we never ask teams to share records with us), and we help leadership set the privacy configuration before staff practice on real work.

Do we have to commit to the full arc?

No. Every client we've worked with started with Foundations alone. The later phases exist so you can see where the path leads — you decide whether and when to take them, once you've seen what Foundations changes.
